Healthy, shining and voluminous hair is attractive. But if you want to enjoy beautiful hair, first you must learn to take care of it. This takes attention, love, and care.
We need not to excess in dyeing hair, using curling irons and hairdryers. Avoid using hair brushes made of plastic, as they break and cling to the hair. Use instead a brush with wooden teeth. When it comes to washing your hair, remember you do not need to wash them daily. Use a natural mask suited to your hair type every two weeks for bright and lively hair. For regeneration of your hair, stop by the hairdresser once every two months.
Here are some extra tips from Ravi Bhanot, who specialises in hair loss and is the author of Hair Today Hair Tomorrow for natural treatments for your type of hair:
NORMAL HAIR
Normal hair is not greasy and the easiest to maintain. Other than using your normal shampoo, conditioner and hair masks, try this treatment:
Lemon Peel: For revitalization, hair shine and suppleness you can use an infusion of lemon peel and boiling water. Finely cut 500 g of lemon peel, place in a bowl, then pour 1.5L of boiling water over them. Cover the vessel and leave it for three hours. After this use the infusion to rinse the hair.
OILY HAIR
It’s harder work and needs a lot of patience. You need to wash oily hair often, as it looks good for only two days after washing. It then loses its shine and vitality. The strands have the bad habit to unite and the hair becomes oily in appearance quite soon. Oily hair can sometimes be affected by dandruff. Oily hair needs special products and shampoos that combat dandruff. The recommended treatment in this case is:
Apple Cider Vinegar: contains powerful natural acids. Apple cider vinegar stops tangling of the hair and helps you to get rid of dandruff. Mix ½ cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of warm water and rinse after shampooing your hair. Vinegar does not affect your hair. The treatment does not require the extra rinse.
DRY HAIR
This type of hair looks dull and has split ends. It is difficult hair to style after washing and is even harder to do it in the next few days. Generally, the scalp is dry and itching occurs frequently. Dry threads break pretty quickly and the hair needs nourishing conditioner and masks. Dry hair should be combed only with a wooden brush. Recommended treatment:
Coconut oil: Apply to your hair a spoonful of homemade mayonnaise (only homemade!). Gently massage into the hair. Once you have applied the mask, it is advisable to wrap your hair in a towel. Wait 20 minutes, then wash your hair. The hair will be shiny and hydrated.
Egg and Beer: A mask that is prepared quickly and without hassle is the one with egg yolk and beer. You just need the yolks of two fresh eggs and 50 ml of beer. Spread the mask on hair, massage, then covers your head with a towel. After 30 minutes wash your hair and enjoy the look.
Olive oil and lemon juice: For this treatment mix three teaspoons of olive oil and two tablespoons of lemon juice. Heat the oil, add lemon juice, put the mixture in a bottle and then shake well. Apply the mixture to freshly washed hair, then wrap the hair in a towel. After 30 minutes, wash it.
MIXED HAIR
This type of hair is a combination of dry and greasy hair. It looks healthy just after washing while the tips are hard to arrange. At the roots, the hair is greasy while the ends are dry, split and usually paler than the rest of the hair. Therefore it is recommended that ends be trimmed often. Try this natural treatment for a healthy, beautiful hair :
Lemon and Spices. You will need four teaspoons of dried herbs (nettle, rosemary, horsetail and thyme). Add over these plants 150 ml of boiling water and make an infusion. When ready, strain, adding a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. After washing your hair, massage the scalp well with this solution and allow the hair to dry naturally. Do not rinse.
Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera gel has many qualities, one of which is to combat dandruff and help you have beautiful hair. Applied to the hair and let stand for ten minutes. This helps get rid of that dandruff.
