We already know that smoking and sun exposure age us, so good for you if you managed to quit smoking and always put on sunscreen. 1. Avoiding sunglasses on sunny days leads to wrinkles around the mouth and in the corners of the eyes. Especially since wearing glasses with dark frames and large lenses has an advantage: blocking the ultraviolet and thus avoiding staining the skin around the eyes.Our advice: use an intensive natural eye cream and always have your sunglasses on.
2. Touching the face while working at your desk, generally during activities involving intellectual concentration while staying in the same position. Many women support their forehead on the palm, which means a forced stretch of the forehead skin and around the eyes. This kind of gesture perpetuated over time means the skin laxity is widening.
3. Frequently supporting your head with the fist and elbow means that the way your chin is orientated can accentuate wrinkles on the neck. In addition, the skin becomes loose under the jaw bone contour.
4. Neglecting muscle toning exercises daily in the cervical area (neck area) will lead in time to a low position of the head and the appearance of a double chin or “goitre”. In this case, chin firming wraps will help so use one as often as possible.
5. Adopting an incorrect position while exercising can have the same effect: the appearance of wrinkles on the neck, the most difficult ones to get rid of. So check your head position when you exercise: eyes must always be forward, the neck stretched and the chin at an angle of 90 degrees. Do not forget to apply weekly an anti-aging neck wrap.
6. Forced expiration during fitness sessions can lead to the formation of vertical wrinkles around the mouth. So breathe through your nose and exhale through your mouth! Do not force yourself, instead allow air to go out using the so-called “ocean breeze” by compressing the abdomen and diaphragm.
7. Sleeping mainly on the same side accentuates wrinkles on that side, especially around the eyes. Try changing the side of the bed every week. Also, do not sleep on your stomach, causing your face to be squashed for hours on the pillowcase. Try to sleep on your back. If this is hard, place a pillow under your knees to force you in the right position.
8. Frowning has a major impact on the beauty of your face! So control your expression when you walk on the street, even if dark thoughts “haunt you”. Try to approach each day with a calm expression and a smile.
9. Rubbing the eyes is another dangerous habit. Although the eyelids and eyes are a wonderful area for massage, especially when you are feeling sleepy or tired, often rubbing the eye will age you. The skin around the eyes is so fine and thin that this brutalization leads fairly quickly to a crepe appearance.
10. Aggressive cleansing by applying strong cosmetic lotion is also on the list. The right way to do it will be to apply enough cleansing cream on your face and leave it for few minutes to soften the makeup. Then remove with short strokes and delicate cream remover. Do the same when you apply eye cream using short movements from the temples towards the nose and back again to the upper eyelid.
